Where is my Bailywick?!?!?!
Hey mama's!
My daughter LOVES the Disney Junior smash, Sofia the First...and because she loves it, well I "love" it too. In fact at any given moment I could sing any song from any episode and inform you on all of the characters latest adventures.
For those of you not as versed, the "castle steward" is a very colorful, tall and lanky gentleman named Bailywick. He is voiced by none other than that fashion icon and host of my favorite TV reality show Project Runway, Tim Gunn (Love him)!! Anyway, Bailywick, "takes care of everyone in the castle and never puts up any find of fuss" nothing is ever out of place, he cleans the castle, solves all the problems, makes sure everyone is where they are supposed to be at the right time...etc.
I had a lightbulb moment! My life is complete, minus a Bailywick! Where can I find one??? I am positive I would be as perfectly dressed and calm no matter the situation just as Queen Miranda is if I just had a Bailywick to count on.
Isn't that how life is? If we just had one more of us, or a Bailywick to run things for us we could totally be more calm and put together. I always chuckle at the celebrity moms when they are interviewed about how they do "IT ALL" and still look so awesome and fit. They swish their blown-out locks off of their face and gush about how they made the commitment to, "make time for themselves everyday etc. etc. etc."
Honey, NO!
I'll tell you how they do "IT ALL" and still look awesome and fit; they have freaking Bailywick's....everywhere! A Bailywick for their kids, one for their hair, makeup, food, workouts, and whatever else you can imagine...
Lordy, if I had all that help I would probably come close to looking like a Venus in an ancient painting overflowing with sexuality and beauty.
Well mama's... Here's the reality. We do not have a Bailywick's we have us.
I have ME, MYSELF, and I, between the three of us, we can get the homework done, the dirty diapers changed, the cat box scooped out, dinner on the table and maybe, just maybe if we are lucky one leg shaved in the shower without someone banging on the door with some crisis. It's a job and the people who have help aren't half the women we are! Can I hear an AMEN in the house!!!! :-)
Don't let yourself be discouraged if the vacuuming didn't get done today, or if the baskets of laundry are still sitting there and its 10:30pm and you have resolved yourself to let the kids wear PJ's tomorrow. It's fine! We do the best we can every day with who we are and I can tell you from experience that that is pretty darn amazing!
However....If anyone has any spare Bailywick's lying around CALL ME UP!!!!!!! :-P
